Unset (2017)

interactive dance

Unset empowers volunteer audience-participants through their own creative movement by inviting an unrehearsed volunteer to play: to play expressively, significantly, as part of a company of professional dancers. Each performance evening consists of a series of improvised dances in which a self-chosen audience member becomes the prima dancer whose movements inspire the movement score of the dance. Unset redefines the set of performers on stage, the set of movements rehearsed, and the set division between performer and audience.
